What options are available for me to receive my pathology reports from Summit?

We are committed to ensuring that you receive your reports in as timely a manner as possible. We will work with you to find an option that best suits your needs.

For biopsies performed either in physician offices or outpatient surgery centers, several options are available.

  • Courier Delivery
    • This is Summit's "standard" way of delivering reports, and it is the manner that most of our clients use to get their printed results. After the pathologist finalizes the report, a hard copy is printed automatically. This copy is then forwarded to you with the next routine Summit Pathology courier run to your office.
  • Fax
    • If you need to get an individual report into your hands sooner than the next courier run, simply contact Judy or Jill in our office at (970) 461-6091. We are happy to fax you the report immediately, if the case has been finalized
    • Some of our clients elect to have cases faxed to them on a regular basis rather than have them sent via courier. To change your preference in this manner, contact Gretchen or Jill at the number above, or use our contact page to let us know your preference via e-mail.
  • U.S. Mail
    • Should you desire, you can also have your reports delivered via U.S. Mail, at no additional charge.

For cases performed in one of our hospitals, all of the above options are available to you, of course. However, the easiest way for you to receive your reports may be for them to be placed in your physical hospital mailbox. You can do this for individual reports or for all reports; all you have to do is let us know!

Finally, we have established secure electronic connections with some of our clients for delivery of reports in an electronic manner. This method is not necessarily best for everyone, but if you would like to explore the possibility of such in interface, please contact Allen Saxton, Summit's Director of Business Development either by e-mail or through our main number.
